The Paris Beetles sunroof is a unique fabric folding/sliding sunroof designed for easy fitting for the VW Air-cooled Beetle.
Made in 3 sizes, Standard, De-luxe and Mega, it was designed to be fitted by "the man in the street" and not just specialists.
After over 30 years in production and having sold thousands around the world. It could be said to have achieved that aim.
The basic sunroof kits come complete with a vinyl cover in black vinyl (Unlined), frame, fittings and instructions. Options and upgrades/colours are available.
There is some assembly involved, as it's sold in kit form,
but most parts have either been pre-drilled or have examples to follow.
Some customers have said its a simple as A, B, C. You get full fitting instructions and we are only a phone call away should you need us. Some customers prefer to get a workshop to fit it. If that's how you want to go, expect a fitting time of 6 hours+.

With its unique closure system that keeps the harshest of weather at bay and the use of dot fasteners, the dream of owning a sunroof can now become a reality. There are upgrades and options too.

Standard size 30 inches long x 28 in (76.2cms x 71.1cms) £475.00
Deluxe size 34 inches long x 28 inches wide (86.4cms x 71.1cms) £495.00
Mega size 38 inches long x 30 in wide (96.5cms x 76.2cms) £525.00
Upgrades and Options
There are a few upgrades if you desire them.
1. Alternative colour vinyl cover.
2. Mohair type fabric option (Twillfast).
3. Interior headlining option
So, you get a black vinyl cover as standard, if you would like a different colour cover for your Bug, you can change it to one of several alternatives below for the small additional cost of £70 over the base price above.
Colours available are: White, Grey, Red, Dark Red, Green, Beige, Tan, Putty, see colour images in the gallery or below.
You can also upgrade to a Mohair type cover. What is a "Mohair" type hooding material. Well its the matt cloth that you on the convertible tops of luxury cars, like Mercedes and BMW, etc. Its waterproof as it has a rubber sandwich in the centre and is very robust but beautiful to look at too. We are currently using the Twillfast brand which is an alternative to the older Mohair hooding fabric.
Why the change after 30 years? Well Mohair has been a little harder to get hold of since Brexit as its made in Germany but more recently, the quality has become very variable, some pieces very stiff with others very limp. Unsatisfied with the supply but more so the quality, we looked for an alternative product and Twillfast fits the bill, it looks identical, has all the same qualities and is used by most major manufacturers including BMW, Toyota and Jeep to name a few.
The cost is an additional £130 of the base price.
The cover on the basic kit does not include a headliner on the underside of the cover. The seams on the base cover is sealed with a sealer which although is discreet, is visible . This gives a lower quality appearance to the inside and therefore most of our customers prefer this covered with a headliner. This is an option. We have 4 colours of interior headlining.
